Editors and researchers

A small UK-based team of health writers and researchers who specialise in dermatology, primary care and consumer health. We read the underlying clinical evidence, talk to patients, and write the kind of guides we wished existed when we were first looking for answers about excessive sweating.

Planned independent medical reviewer

We are currently recruiting a GMC-registered UK clinician to review our core medical guides. No content on this site has been medically reviewed yet, and we will not claim otherwise. When a reviewer is appointed we will publish their name, credentials and GMC number here, and show the reviewer and review date on each page they have checked.

Our standards

  • Where we make a specific clinical claim we cite the source — NHS, NICE, the British Association of Dermatologists or peer-reviewed research. We are working through the back catalogue adding these citations; guides that carry a “Sources” section have been done.
  • We do not provide medical advice. Guides signpost readers to a GP, dermatologist or the NHS for diagnosis and prescribed treatment.
  • Product recommendations are independent. We disclose affiliate relationships on every page that uses them.
  • We aim to revisit every guide at least once a year. The “last updated” date on each page reflects when it was last substantively edited.
